Review:

Professor Layton and the Last Specter for Nintendo DS is the first in a three-game series featuring puzzles to solve and mysteries to unravel with Professor Layton and his bubbly assistant, Emmy. Players move through the story line by traveling to various locations and solving puzzles that pop up along the way. Additional puzzles become available weekly for download via the Nintendo DS' wifi-connection; this helps keep the game fresh and engaging for players. However, because of the relatively slow pace of the main game and the extended story content interspersed with game play, our family much preferred the bonus role-playing game in which players create avatars that live and interact with game characters in the virtual world of Little London.
