Ready, aim, click! Ranger Rick's Click the Birdie invites players to explore six North American habitats in three difficulty levels in search of each one's native birds. In each habitat, players find and "photograph" three birds. As each bird is successful photographed, interesting facts and occasional quizzes pop up for the players. In addition to gaining points for each of the three native birds, children can also gain points by taking photos of the imaginary Golden Birdie, identifying birds in the wrong habitat and photographing a bevy of blinking animals. The app, which exposes children to a variety of habitats from desert to wetlands, is an entertaining and engaging way to get kids interested in wildlife.
