The Tuneables: "I Love Music!"
Fall 2011 DVDUsing colorful, eye-catching animation, this well-designed, activity-packed program introduces young children to some of the fundamentals of music. In the land of Tuneville, a team of quirky Tuneables (Clara the clarinet, Sunny the cymbal, Snare the drum, Mo the violin, Gloria the piano) invites viewers to play and sing along as they playfully demonstrate tonal and rhythmic patterns and the basics of vocalizing. The frankly curricular approach, created by music educators, presents these concepts with appealing age-appropriate clarity, while the vivid animation, interspersed with footage of real kids joining in, has notable visual appeal. A companion CD, "The Music Box: I Love Music!," is included and a detailed activity guide for parents is available for download.
