Ages: 6 - 8 yrs.
Network: PBS
Review:
What has always been great, and continues to be so, about "Arthur" is its unblemished sweetness and inspiring joint focuses on friendship and teamwork. It does much to assist the developing mind of young viewers in terms of understanding socialization and modest problem-solving -- skills that will indeed be valuable throughout their lifetime. The message in "Arthur" is always clearly presented, sometimes almost to a fault (the simplicity and repetition can make it occasionally feel a bit too geeky). The show's heart and values, however, are never less than in the right place. We would expect nothing less from such a beloved public broadcasting institution.
