Review:
The best thing about QUINTO is its appeal to all ages; in fact, as a team game, a child and parent can partner up. In this simple combination card and board game, players dealt a hand from the deck of ordinary playing cards discard, in turn, one card at a time, placing their color chip on an open spot on the gameboard that matches the card played from their hand. Players or teams try to get five color chips in a row (a “Quinto”).

QUINTO (and additional games described) can be played by multiples of two or three, up to ten players—a large number of people to squeeze around the board—but is probably best for two to four. And though I don’t think most players will appreciate all the “Benefits of Playing Quinto” touted in the company’s 16-page instruction booklet, the game does give children a chance to use simple planning and strategy.
